Going to see the bull shit MNCC brass band on the roads of male' is an every eid event. And last eid i could easily walk within the crowds while the live performance of the combined band was playing near Orchid Road in front of the President palace.
But this Eid, I am really surprised by the traditional event brought by WATANIYA TELECOM MALDIVES. All most all staff participated in this parade of Bodumas (Big Fish). And they even made a Dheli maali, PET Bottle monster and even a Frankenstein with his body full of Aluminum cans..
I must say WATANIYA you done a great job to bring back some lost part of our culture.

According to geomorphology studies Fuvahmulah used to be an atoll with a lagoon inside, thus fishermen sails their ships through the middle of the island right to the centre of the island where today the Kilhi and cultivated land is found. However, perhaps through passage of time the island’s entrance became closed by the sand and coral blocks and the ships were unable to enter the island. This formation then compelled the fishermen to dock their ships far from the island and at the tip of the island reef. When the entrance was completely closed what used to be once the lagoon transformed to fertile lands and a beautiful pond.
The freshwater pond of Fuvahmulah is beyond any doubt one of the central attractions of this island atoll. Located almost at the centre of the island there are two natural lakes in this island. However, the most famous being that of Bandara Kilhi located in Maalegam ward, The Bandaara Kilhi, which stretch across 274 metres (300 yards) which ditches running trough the marsh land that surrounds this lake. The lakes provide abundance of water to irrigate yam fields and other crops nearby this lake

The chili pepper, or more simply just "chili", is the fruit of the plants from the Genus Capsicum and the nightshade family, Solanaceae.
Chili peppers have been a part of the human diet in the Americas since at least 7500 BC and perhaps earlier. There is archaeological evidence at sites located in southwestern Ecuador that chili peppers were already well domesticated more than 6000 years ago, and is one of the first cultivated crops in the Americas.
Chili peppers are thought to have been domesticated at least five times by prehistoric peoples in different parts of South and North America, from Peru in the south to Mexico in the north and parts of Colorado and New Mexico (Ancient Pueblo Peoples).
Chili peppers are popular in food. They are rich in vitamin C and are believed to have many beneficial effects on health.

The yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares), is a type of tuna eaten by humans as food. It is found in open waters of tropical and subtropical seas worldwide.
Commercial fisheries catch yellowfin tuna with encircling nets (purse seines) and with longlines. The fish are mainly sold in frozen or canned form, but are also popular as sashimi.
